Gong Zheng, Governor of Shandong Province, met with a delegation headed by Stephen Lo Wai-chung, Commissioner of Police of the Hong Kong Police, on June 21st, 2018 at Shangri-La Hotel Qingdao. The guests came to Qingdao to attend the first work meeting of the public security authority of mainland China and Hong Kong Police after attending the 20th anniversary ceremony of Hong Kong's return to Motherland. Sun Lijun, Vice Public Security Minister of China, Sun Licheng, Vice Governor of Shandong Province and Director of Shandong Public Security Bureau, and Meng Fanli, Mayor of Qingdao and Vice Party Chief of Qingdao, attended the meeting.
Gong Zheng, also Vice Party Chief of Shandong Province, expressed welcome to the guests and introduced the economic and social development of Shandong. He hailed the cooperation foundation, cooperation impetus and continuously increasing cooperation of policing between Shandong and Hong Kong. The governor hoped to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong in trade, economy, culture, tourism, policing, etc. to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two places.
Stephen Lo introduced the latest development of Hong Kong Police and said they would further promote exchanges and cooperation with the police authority in Shandong in public relation, personnel training, big data, etc.
